Miers Steps Down

After all the hype and all the anguish
Miers steps down “gracefully”.
How gracefully can one fall in
the public domain?
The Democrats liked her only because
they didn’t know how conservative she is and the Republicans hated
her because they didn’t know how conservative she is. Then she
shamefully gives shoddy answers on her questionnaire for the Senate
which would “confirm” her for a lifetime job.
Ok, let’s review in layman’s terms.
Your best buddy owns a company and promotes you to a lifetime
position and all you have to do is be sure to answer all your
questions thoroughly, cross all your T’s, and keep your mouth shut
about what you do and don’t believe.
Would you turn in less than perfect work? Would you blab about which
church you go to?
No! I wouldn’t!
Yet this woman doesn’t even submit paperwork that is satisfactory
for her own party. She didn’t deserve the job, because she didn’t
even recognize (or care) what an incredible honor this is enough to
do her best to appear, at least, professional. She can only do so
much with her looks, the only thing she had to get her through this
hearing was her “meticulous attention to detail” as the President
said. So if she’s so meticulous, how could she screw this up?
Apparently the president has egg on
his face AGAIN!
